तुलसी कण्ठीमाला धारण
शास्त्र प्रचुरमात्रा में वर्णित करते हैं कि, यदि कोई व्यक्ति तुलसी निर्मित माला अपने कण्ठ में धारण करता है, तब उसे परम भगवान् के धाम में निवास प्राप्त होता है। विभिन्न शास्त्रों में अलग-अलग प्रकार से इस महिमा का वर्णन किया गया है। श्रीहरिभक्तिविलास में उद्धृत स्कंध पुराण में कहा गया है:-
सन्निवेदयैव्य हरये तुलसी काष्ठ संभवात् ।
मालां पश्चात् स्वयं धत्ते स वै भागवतोत्तम।।
"यदि तुलसी काष्ठ से निर्मित माला भगवान् को अर्पित करने के उपरान्त कोई स्वंय धारण करता है तब वह भगवद् भक्तों मे उत्तम कहा जाता है। "
सर्वप्रथम भगवान् को अर्पित किये बिना तुलसी माला गले में धारण करना उचित नहीं है। वह परम भगवान् एवं उनकी अनन्य भक्त श्रीमती तुलसीदेवी की कृपा से वंचित रह जाता है।
हरये नापयेद्यस्तु तुलसी काष्ठ सम्भवाम् ।
मालां धत्ते स्वयं मूढ स याति नरकं ध्रुवम् ।।
" जो व्यक्ति श्रीहरि के चरणों में तुलसी काष्ठ से निर्मित माला को अर्पित न करके अपने गले में धारण करता है वह निसन्देह नरकगामी हो जाता है। तुलसी माला धारण करने के पूर्व उसका निश्चित रूप से संस्कार करना चाहिये। "
क्षालितां पञ्चगव्यान मूल मन्त्रेन मन्त्रिताम्
गायत्र्या चाष्ठ कृत्वा वै मंत्रितां धूपयेच्चताम् ।।
विधिवत्परया भक्त्या सद्योजातेन पुजयेत् ।।
सर्वप्रथम माला को पञ्चगव्य के द्वारा प्रक्षालन करने के उपरान्त मूलमंत्र अष्टधा गायत्रीमंत्र जप करना चाहिये। उसके बाद भक्तिपूर्वक पूजन करना होगा। धूप स्पर्शके बाद गन्ध पुष्प द्वारा पुजा करके हाथ जोड़कर माला को प्रार्थना करें। तुलसीमाला गले में धारण करते समय उचित प्रार्थना करना साधक का परम कर्तव्य होता है।
तुलसी काष्ठ सम्भूते माले! कृष्णजनप्रिये ।
विभम्मि त्वामहं कण्ठे कुरू मां कृष्णवल्लभम्।।
यथा त्वं वल्लभा विष्णोर्नित्यं विष्णुजनप्रिया ।
तथा मां कुरु देवेशि ! नित्यं विष्णुजनप्रियम् ।।
दाणे ला - धातुरूद्दिष्टये लासि मां हरिवल्लभे ।
भक्तेभ्यश्च समस्तेभ्य स्तेन माला निगदयसे ।।
" हे माला ! तुलसी काष्ठ के द्वारा आपका निर्माण किया गया है। आप श्रीकृष्ण भक्तों के लिए परम् प्रिय हो। मैं आपको धारण कर रहा हूँ। मुझे श्रीकृष्ण का प्रेमी बनाओ। हे कृष्ण वल्लभ ! जिस प्रकार से आप कृष्ण एवं कृष्णभक्तों की प्रिय हो उसी प्रकार मुझे श्रीकृष्ण भक्तों का प्रिय बनाओ 'ला' धातु का प्रयोग दान के लिए होता है। हे श्रीकृष्ण वल्लभ ! सभी भक्तों को आपने मुझे दान किया है, इसीलिए आपका माला शब्द से उच्चारण किया जाता है। "
शास्त्रों में कहा गया है की, तुलसी निर्मित माला को धारण करने से व्यक्ति भगवान् के नित्य धाम में निवास करता है।

The scriptures describe in abundance that, if a person wears a garland made of Tulsi around his neck, then he attains residence in the abode of the Supreme Lord. This glory has been described in different ways in different scriptures. It is said in Skandha Purana quoted in Sri Hari Bhakti Vilas:- Sannivedayavya Haraye Tulsi Kashtha Sambhavat.
After the garland, the devotee himself becomes the God of Bhagavatottam.
"If someone wears a rosary made of Tulsi wood after offering it to God, then he is said to be the best among the devotees of God. It is not appropriate to wear Tulsi rosary around the neck without first offering it to God. He remains deprived of the grace of the Supreme Lord and his ardent devotee Mrs. Tulsidevi.
Haraye Napayedyastu Tulsi Wood Sambhavam.
Mala dhatte swayam mudh sa yati hellam dhruvam.
"The person who does not offer a rosary made of Tulsi wood at the feet of Shri Hari and wears it around his neck, undoubtedly goes to hell. Before wearing the Tulsi rosary, it should definitely be sanskar (sanskar). " छाष्ठ क्रत्वा वा मन्त्रितां धुप्येच्चताम्.
Vidhivatparaya bhaktya sadyojaten pujayet.

"O Mala! You have been made from Tulsi wood. You are the ultimate gift for the devotees of Shri Krishna. You are dear. I am wearing you. Make me a lover of Shri Krishna. O Krishna Vallabh! Just as you are dear to Krishna and Krishna's devotees, in the same way make me dear to Shri Krishna's devotees. The word 'La' is used for donation. O Lord Krishna Vallabh! You have donated all the devotees to me, that is why you are pronounced as Mala (rosary)."
It is said in the scriptures that by wearing a garland made of Tulsi, a person resides in the eternal abode of God.
